About our Endangered Species Articles

Endangered Species
By Kai Reinsborough

If you are asking the question, why did most of this 3rd to 6th grade class choose to write articles on endangered species? WELL, I’LL TELL YA WHY! It is very important that we know something about the species on Earth that don’t have as wide a range in their population as other species do. So we hope people will help them to increase their population, but why? You ask why we should increase the population of other species!?!? I’LL TELL YA THAT TOO!

Let me explain, it’s called the domino effect, each time in a domino line a domino falls down, it hits another. Each domino falling down represents a species going extinct except the domino effect takes a lot longer. Still don’t get the concept?

Example:
Trees go extinct.
Fungi die because they live on the trees.
Certain eetles go extinct because the grubs feed on the fungi and the grubs can’t mature into adults.
Eventually>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Humans go extinct.
