- Better Insulation in houses
- Better gas mileage in cars
- Land ethics – Treating the land and species well for many generations
- One car per family
- Auto-off lighting
- Using Methane (cow farts / poop) for energy
- Geothermal energy
- water - fuelcell (Or fuelcell in general)
- Vegetable oil energy (or bio-diesel)
- Geyser / lava energy
- Hamster wheels with wires attached to battery – for people and animals
- Treadmills with wires attached to battery
- Carbon dioxide for power
- Road Motorcycle
- Prius hybrid car
- Highlander hybrid car
- Honda Pilot – hybrid car
When John Kitzhaber said ”CAN WE HAVE IT ALL!?” he meant that we can have economic, environmental, and social needs. They are important because if you take, say, environmental needs, than you still won’t deal with poverty and the bad economy. But, if you use all three of them in your community and ways of living, than you will deal with the bad economy, poverty and have sustainable ways in dealing with the environment. He meant we CAN have all three of those, but it is going to take some time. It takes a long time, usually, for people to change their way of thinking. If we change our ways of thinking, then we may follow this idea of sustainability.
