Poems#’s1,2,3,4,5 4IMPACT
#1
Every place I walk
Stars shimmer upon my feet
Yet I don’t deter
#2
Filling me with the glow
The heavens shimmer with light
I let myself go
#3
Where furniture was
stands the bright spirit of Earth
He welcomes me in
#4
Beating upon his
Chest , he sends out messengers ,
On light feet of grass
#5
The water, shimmering and clear, catches my attention.
I flip through my notebook and realize, that I do not care for anything.
Any gift, any food, and drink, any thought.
Thoughts rush in and out of my head like a river, flowing and flowing like a stream.
I let go, drop my book, and just stare into the water, and see my reflection, all grimy and scratched, all bruised and bleeding, but I don’t care.
This was my moment, not like any other moment, when I was just grateful that I was alive.
