life is irreplaceable.

Give….what you wish to recieve. For all catagories-things,life,edibles, everything. At times like this we all see things differently, but we all must realize, speeding ahead is not the solution. We all must realize we are all connected, by the very thing that brought us together. Love. Greed is not the solution. We must learn to make peace, and live with love, for war is not the solution. Speeding ahead is not the solution. Greed is not the solution. war is not the solution. If we are in those three deeds, we are not doing the right thing. If we are not, then we can count on knowing that we are doing the right thing.

When John Kitzhaber said ”CAN WE HAVE IT ALL!?” he meant that we can have economic, environmental, and social needs. They are important because if you take, say, environmental needs, than you still won’t deal with poverty and the bad economy. But, if you use all three of them in your community and ways of living, than you will deal with the bad economy, poverty and have sustainable ways in dealing with the environment. He meant we CAN have all three of those, but it is going to take some time. It takes a long time, usually, for people to change their way of thinking. If we change our ways of thinking, then we may follow this idea of sustainability.

“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.” John Muir, 1913, in L.M. Wolfe, ed.., John Muir, John of the Mountains: The Unpublished Journals of John Muir, 1938

Nature is everything, and it always was everything. Every tree is our roof and every stone is our floor. That’s how God made it. When John Muir said, “I…finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.” he was saying that he was entering his real home, nature. He felt like he was entering his first home and than he realized nature is our home, our first ever. Unfortunately, some of us don’t realize that nature is our home. They simply destroy it for things that they want. Little do they know, what they take as theirs, is nature’s and yet they destroy their own real home at the same time. Possibly if people read this quote they would finally realize….that nature is our home.
